Maintains, supervises, evaluates and develops unit personnel with the full authority to discipline and terminate as necessary.Evaluates patient / physician satisfaction and problem solves to improve.Facilitates the development of feasible standards of care and practice, including the integration / networking with agencies / services along the continuum of care.Interprets and directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of unit goals and objectives, policies / procedures, and standards of care. Participates with Senior Executives, Nursing and Medical staff to define unit specific goals and objectives.Provides direction to the staff in the implementation of the nursing process. Serves as a role model in clinical excellence for the unit(s) staff through provision of quality patient care as necessary. Provides staff with formal and informal feedback on their performances. Identifies staff educational needs and ensures needs are met and comply with educational standards. Identifies competencies requiring review and annual testing. Supervises and evaluates quality of patient care provided and the skill level and pride values of staff. Effective management skills to influence Human Resources utilization and motivation, marketing, and inter- and intra-departmental relations.

Five years experience in Nursing Cardiology, IR and / or Cath Lab related field / Respiratory medicine.ģ. Bachelors ins, Nursing (with current IL license). Shapes and interprets the philosophy and definition of services as it relates to short and long-term planning, program and staff development, patient care, resource and budget management, quality assurance, and systems utilization.ġ. Upholds and maintains standards of care in the clinical areas and the ongoing development of staff. Responsible for the overall operation of all Cardiology Operations including Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiology Clinic, Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, and Respiratory Care.
